Sanna Sirilä) Simon finished retrievers' hunting test season with 3rd price in the beginners (ALO) class. We are very pleased with the results of this Fall-- since we didn't even plan to start in any hunting tests. 1.9.2007 NOME-B, Vammala, Finland Wau, this is fun! Simon is laughing... (pic: Tuuli Nurminen) Our hunting test "carrier" continues! At lest the direction is correct since this time we managed to get beginners class (ALO) 2rd price. I have to admit that I didn't know that I have such a good dog. Yes, he works well in actual hunting but I never dreamed that we would have success in huntings trials, too. 25.8.2007 NOME-B, Vehmaa, Finland ![]()
(pic: Tuuli Nurminen) Simon and I attended our very first time to retrievers' hunting test. We were not sure what to expect but it was time to do it! It did go well, even if Simon wasn't sure that I wanted him to bring "second class birds" namely NOT pheasants and ducks, heh... 19.8.2007 International Show, Tallinn, Estonia

Simon was the 3rd in Champion class. The judge was Mstislav Polivanov, Russia. 30.6.2007 International Dog Show, Pärnu, Estonia Niro won the Champion class and Simon won the Working class. Heh, Simon had relaxaling and booring week in Finland, so even running around in the show ring was fun! This was also my second time when I was facing that the judge changes class placements in the final ring (best male). This time the judge placed the dog that was the last out of three Open class dogs as the best male. This is possible to do (by the rules) but needless to say it caused a lot unnecessary confusion. I am still a novice in the dog show world, but I have to say that when the judge does (radically) change the placements in the final ring, it makes me wonder if the judge really knows what she is doing. The judge was Olga Gracheva, Russia. ROP was Evgenika Iz Stolitsy Urala from Russia who also got Lord-Niro's Trophy for the first year, congratulations! 16.6.2007 Retriiverite tõukatse, Veskijärv, Estonia ![]() Working test was held 2nd time in Estonia. Simon is also probably the first Finnish dog who has passed the test twice... Already on February I realized that here in Estonia are no hunting tests during the summer. So, this working test was a good practize -- and we realized that we have a lot of work to do for upcoming huntings tests in Finland. But first we enjoy passed retriever's hunting trial!
9.6.2007 Norrköping National Show, Sweden Out of 91 golden retrievers Niro was the 3rd in Open Class and Simon won the Working class. Both boys received CKs. The judge was Tord Lundborg. A great thank to Sandra who well presented Niro in the final dog ring.
